What Are My Options?

Volkswagen Lease Return FAQsDrivers may have three options available when scheduling their VW lease return:

  • Buy your leased VW
  • Buy or lease another VW

If you’ve enjoyed driving your VW but want to drive a different vehicle, you can simply return the car or SUV to our dealership. Contact our team to learn more.

Would you prefer to keep your vehicle? You may be eligible to purchase the leased vehicle at a rate lower than the monthly payment you might make with a new vehicle. Complete our secure online financial application to begin the conversation with our finance team.

Did you want to buy or lease a different VW vehicle? Read reviews and comparisons on our site and complete the secure online financial application to get started.

How Can I Schedule a Lease Return Inspection?

A lease-end inspection helps you learn about possible excess wear and usage charges. This may give you the opportunity to repair any damage and avoid fees. What should you know about the inspection?

  • You should contact Alliance Inspection Management.
  • You can schedule an appointment at home, at your office, or at your VW dealership.
  • Your lease-end report is valid for 90 days.

If any damage is detected, you can have the vehicle serviced at a VW-Authorized Collision Repair Facility. Repair costs may be added to your settlement invoice.

How Can I Complete My VW Lease Return?

Volkswagen Lease Return FAQsAfter the lease inspection is complete, you still have a few steps left to return your vehicle:

  • Complete scheduled maintenance
  • Contact VW Credit Lease-End Services
  • Contact your VW dealer
  • Complete Odometer Disclosure Statement

Our team can process the return if you leased your VW through our dealership. If you’ve moved and are new to our community, contact our team to learn if we can accept your vehicle.

When your vehicle is returned to our dealership, you’ll have to complete an Odometer Disclosure Statement. Drivers will receive a copy of the statement and a Lessee Vehicle Return Receipt. Your Turn-in Settlement Invoice will be sent within four to six weeks of the vehicle’s return.
